A Bootastic Wedding Shower - Ideas

Boo! Boo again. Okay, so I haven’t managed to scare you, but that shouldn’t stop you from being ghoulish. I’m thinking “Halloween bridal shower” right now. Sound too strange of an idea? That’s why it’s perfect for the truly unconventional, whacky, and daring bride (can’t forget gothic) where the color black ain’t gonna scare her away to white or that tiffany blue shade. For planning ideas, let’s start with inspiring colors such as orange, purple, and black:

Invitations
Yes, they’re truly odd, but it’s Halloween! You can either go for bold or muted (restrained) colors. This interesting project from Southworth Company features a whimsical cobweb - how cute.

Flowers for Table Decorations and Bouquet Ideas
Burnt orange calla lilies, black roses, and purple dahlias come into mind. These lovely callas from Brides.com features bright orange callas with yellow orchids.

Favors
Give out black and orange M&M’s, marshmallows with candy corn and walnuts, or bright orange Jordan almonds presented in a cello bag and tied with a dark purple satin ribbon. Other containers can include black or burnt orange organza bags, black square boxes, or mini pumpkin containers (like the ones you carried for trick or treat. Hmm. Maybe bright orange is a bit too loud – okay, then, you can try a lavender color instead. Candy Warehouse is the place to go for buying them in bulk bags.
