C'mon - isn't it about time..

Advances in society from technological to social reform have made great changes to our generation. Why is it, I ask that makes same sex marriage such an appalling arrangement. Is it due to the fear that children of such couples will harbor the same values – thus spelling doom for a heterogeneous society? C’mon! One word sums this whole thing up - tolerance.
